KTN news anchor Ben Kitili’s wife Amina Mude has for the first time disclosed that it was not easy for her parents who are Muslims to approve of her marriage to the anchor who is a Christian.

While interacting with fans on Instagram by answering their questions, Ms. Mude was asked <a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/entertainment/ben-kitilis-wife-amina-mude-opens-up-on-4-year-battle-with-hypothyroidism/nqr0k10">if her parents approved of their relationship.</a>

“Did the parents approve of your relationship?” asked a fan, to which she responded saying, “They do but it wasn’t so easy.”

Another fan asked if they found it challenging when dating because of their different religious backgrounds.

“Did you find it challenging, considering Ben is a Christian and you’re a Muslim?” asked the fan.

Amina Mude responded saying that religion was not a big issue to her because her husband is an amazing man and everything just worked out.

“Religion wasn’t an issue to me, Ben is such an awesome guy so things just clicked,” she noted.

Ben Kitili and Amina Mude made their union official in 2018 at the Attorney General’s office before they hosted a reception party for their close friends and family members.

After sharing pictures of how their wedding went down, the two faced backlash from a section of internet users who did not approve of their Christian-Muslim union.

Some even went overboard and claimed that Amina had ‘sold her dignity and whole beauty to the devils and despised Prophet Mohammed’s teachings.’

Following the mixed reactions to their big day, Ben Kitili commented that he was happy to have married the wife of his youth and emphasized that God was more important than religion.

Former Churchill Show comedian Owago Onyiro has for the first time disclosed the reason as to why he quit his well-paying radio job at Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC)

Speaking exclusively to&nbsp;Pulselive.co.ke,&nbsp;Owago said that he decided to leave the KBC Radio Taifa job because of some of his colleagues, who did not like the idea of him being there.

The comedian went on to say that the colleagues who had worked at the station for many years felt bad because he was young, and was being paid a lot of money compared to what they earned.

“Radio nilifanya lakini unajua kuna wale watu wana roho mbaya mpaka nikaona mbona nikorofishane na watu. Unajua wanaona sisi tumefanya hapa kazi miaka Kumi, huyu mtoto anakuja juzi na analipwa hela mingi. Kuna vitu mimi kama mtu kutoka huko Kisumu siwezi kubali nikawaachia tu. Hapa nje sisi ni walewale,” said Owago Onyiro.

Ben Kitili’s wife battle with hypothyroidism

KTN news Anchor Ben Kitili’s wife Amina Mude disclosed that she was diagnosed with hypothyroidism back in 2015 immediately after the birth her first born daughter.

In a series of posts on Instagram, the mother of two mentioned that she started experiencing a sudden gain in weight and this got her depressed, but she is grateful&nbsp;to have discovered her condition early.

“I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism back in 2015 immediately after I had my daughter. I was experiencing almost all symptoms of hypothyroidism. Depression and severe weight gain were my biggest concern. I was 95kgs from 69kgs. This was followed by episodes of depression. Thank God I discovered that I was hypothyroid. 4 years down the line, I have been able to control my thyroid levels. Am happier and healthier,” she said.

"A lifestyle change as well as proper medications has helped me lose 30kgs, from 110kgs to 80kgs. January is thyroid awareness month. In line with creating awareness on my page, I have a support group for anyone living with hypothyroidism,” said Amina.

Hypothyroidism- is a condition in which the thyroid gland is not able to produce enough thyroid hormone whose main purpose is to run the body's metabolism. People with this condition will have symptoms associated with a slow metabolism.

Gospel&nbsp;Singer Peter Blessing&nbsp;spoke for the first time after being released from Central Police Station where he spent three nights, after Bahati ordered for his arrest.

According to Blessing, he was arrested on grounds of obtaining over Sh2 million via a 20 years contract he signed when joining EMB Records last year.

Ms Mude is unwinding at the coast and she decided to use her Instagram page to document her vacation hence the bikini photos.

Amina has been on a weight loss journey months after welcoming her second born son and truly we can say that the result are visible.

An update from Mrs Kitili indicates that as per of October 17th, 2019 she had already lost over 20kgs.

“The smile represents success. I never thought that 4 months post-partum my body would look this good, not after adding so much weight during pregnancy. Am so happy that I have lost 20kgs&nbsp;<a href="https://www.instagram.com/nutrition_by_nthenya/" rel="noopener noreferrer">@nutrition_by_nthenya</a>&nbsp;believed in me, held my hand and helped me achieve this body. Thank you baby girl for not giving up on me and also encouraging me. Am not even close to my 'dream' body but am definitely not giving up anytime soon&nbsp;<a href="https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/bikinibodyloading/" rel="noopener noreferrer">#bikinibodyloading</a>,” shared Amina Mude.

The Kitili’s welcomed a bouncing baby boy named Roman Hami Kitili into their family back in June last year.

“Another rock for my sling. Roman Hami Kitili. Named Kitili after his grandfather and great, great grandfather, Kitili wa Muthengi, a legend who had 33 wives..baby and mother @amina_mude are well..we thank God.” shared Ben Kitili.

The two lovebirds made their cross-cultural union official at the AG’s office on 16 Nov 2018 before hosting family and friends to a lavish wedding dinner at the Panari hotel.

The couple has a daughter, Ruby Iman Nzembi Kitili aged 4 and a son named&nbsp;Roman Hami Kitili who was born early this year.
