Mucureezi leaves the Uganda Premier League champions after a successful three years period at the club having joined in 2020.

In a farewell note to the club and fans, Mucureezi did not mention of his next destination but rather thanked the club for its contribution to his career.

“THANK YOU NOTE: A big thank you to Vipers Sc fraternity. My president, manager, coaches, fellow footballers and the fans. I thank you for the opportunity given to me to be part of the great team. Like any great team, you encouraged me, assisted me, and made me better at what we do”.

“Thank you for sharing the wins and losses, the triumphs and the tribulations. Working with you has been a true privilege. I am leaving you with a grateful heart. To my fans, I will announce my next step in the due course...God bless”.

Vipers reportedly failed to renew his contract following a rather long spell out of action due to injury.

The Venoms also acquired Martin Kizza to play in his role before the announcement of their new Brazilian head coach Bianchi Beto.

Mucureezi was the star player of the now Big-League side Mbarara City FC before joining Vipers. At Vipers, he won the league title two times, and the Uganda Cup.
