The idea of working with Winnie Nwagi first popped up when he was at Nessim's studio going through some of the songs he had already recorded but hadn't been released.

"I was actually meant to work with Spice," said Panda, who revealed while appearing on Galaxy FM that he has 100-plus songs awaiting release at the studios of Nessim and Artin Pro.

"But when I was going through the songs, I felt the vibe and I was like, I've always wanted to work with Winnie."

Crysto Panda, whose real name is Herbert Kityamuweesi, hired Dokta Brian to write the lyrics that Nwagi would sing on the ballad that would be titled Mukisenge.

The song had originally been written by Ray Signature.

Brian, who also goes by Dokey, is one-half of Hatim & Dokey, the Did I Die hitmakers. He has written for a number of household names, including Bebe Cool, Grace Nakimera, Irene Ntale and Rema Namakula.

So, after penning the lyrics, Panda forwarded them to Swangz Avenue co-founder Benon Mugumbya and they recorded the song. "Winnie loved it," said Panda.

Panda said it was Ray Signature, who brought the song to him.

"That song, I wanted to try something new," said Panda during the interview.

"Ray Signature gave it to me and told me, try. We are capable of doing a lot of things but it's us that limit ourselves."

Panda had originally recorded the song in 2022. Signature was indeed right because Panda's fans now look at him as a singer instead of jumping on trends as he has always done to churn out bubblegum music.
