The artist opened up this week on why he’s turning down invites to appear on Ugandan TVs and radios.
He accused the media houses of not being patriotic about Ugandan music.
Since shooting to the music scene at the start of the year, the artist has hardly given out exclusive interviews or made appearances on any of the most popular entertainment shows, apart from Galaxy TV and radio.
Asked in a recent interview why this is the case, Skin said he preferred online vloggers to the traditional media.

He also accused the big media houses of pushing music from foreign countries while denigrating Ugandan talents.
“You need to know your market; mine is here on social media. That is why I will call a press conference and everyone shows up with a smartphone,” said the Fangone Forest boss.
“TVs have to be penalized a little bit because they themselves are the ones who despise our own artists here and praise the other ones who have never even come to their stations.
“I always ask myself, how can you call someone great, who has never been to your Station? That is why I have become showy as well.
"Since the best artists are the ones who have never appeared on your TV, I also want to be great like them so I won’t come to tour TV,” he said.

Skin also quipped at some of the Ugandan media houses for not being serious about their work.
At times, he said, he’s been caught by surprise to see top entertainment reporters quoting him about the silly comments that he makes in while interacting with his fans online.
“Sometimes I am out his just spewing my nonsense and then I wake up in the morning and I am TV,” he said.
