The statement read, "It is with sincere regret and disappointment that we announce the unexpected postponement of the UB40 featuring Ali Campbell concert scheduled for the 21st day of December 2023 at the Kololo Independence Grounds due to an unforeseeable event at the same venue that is beyond our control."

The abrupt change has understandably disheartened all involved parties and the organisers extended sincere apologies to stakeholders, partners, and patrons for any inconvenience caused.

Reassuringly, a new date for the celebration of NBS at 15 will be communicated in due course and previously purchased tickets will remain valid.

However, speculation suggests that the primary reason for the concert's postponement could be the book launch of Uganda's 1st Deputy Prime Minister, Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga, titled "The Path Way to Greatness."

The launch, scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon at 3:00 pm at Kololo Airstrip, has caused logistical challenges for the concert organisers, making it impractical to set up within a single day.

Having envisioned herself filling stadiums in the UK and South Africa and dreaming of a Grammy, Azawi has been deliberate in her pursuit of musical greatness. "Sankofa," which urges listeners to reminisce about the past to forge ahead, introduced new stars to Azawi's galaxy. Soon after her concert, Azawi was off to Kigali after being nominated for Africa's Best Newcomer at the inaugural Trace Awards.

As the final quarter of 2023 comes to a close, Azawi treats fans to the visual spectacle of "Outside," a track from the "Sankofa" album. Produced by Ghanaian maestro Groovy World, "Outside" is an energetic Afro-pop anthem inviting everyone to break free from the confines of home and revel in the joy of life.

The video for "Outside," crafted by Swangz Avenue's Aaronaire, paints a vivid picture of a minimalistic, colourful African utopia. Azawi shares the rooftop with millennials and Gen Zs, creating a scene of vibrant celebration.
