<h2>Europe is the world's most peaceful region, home to three of the top five most peaceful countries. </h2>

Countries in this region are not plagued by the woes of insurgency, political instability and corruption.

Their citizens are also more productive, informed and educated.

Their geographical isolation is another plus, shielding them from territorial disputes and cultural fragmentation.

Here are the top five most peaceful countries in the world.

Despite increasing violence in different parts of the world, Singapore has become more peaceful.

It has moved from the 22nd to the 5th most peaceful country in the world since 2008.

While the country invests heavily in its military and weaponry, it remains generally safe and secure with low levels of ongoing domestic and international conflict.

New Zealand is widely regarded as a wonderful place to live.

Although it used to be in the second spot in each edition of the Global Peace Index since 2017 until 2023 when it dropped to the fourth position, this country still scores high in societal safety and security and low in ongoing domestic and international conflict.

It also has a small population which makes it an ideal place for introverts.

Austria is widely recognised for its low economic cost of violence.

It ranks third on the Global Peace Index for maintaining warm neighbourliness with bordering sovereign states and former opposition forces.

This small, noncoastal country also ranks highly in standard of living, excelling in income, employment, and housing.

In addition to being one of the happiest, wealthiest, and most developed nations in the world, Ireland is also quite peaceful.

It has consistently climbed up the rankings on the Global Peace Report, starting at the 11th and jumping right up to the fourth spot in 2020 until now occupying the second position.

Ireland's economic cost of violence also accounts for just 2.86% of the GDP compared to the global average,&nbsp;13.5%.

It is consistently on the list of the safest countries in the world.

Iceland is the most peaceful country in the world.

For 17 years, this Nordic island nation has occupied the number one spot—since the index began in 2008.

The crime rate in Iceland is also very low. As such, policemen don't carry firearms.

It also ranks among the best nations in terms of jobs and earnings, with an excellent education and welfare system.

Should money then be recognised as a love language? If it is used between partners with conflicting love languages, how can the situation be managed so that both parties can reach a middle ground?

Some of the things you can do if your partner gifts you cash include:

It costs nothing to say a 'thank you'. Even if it's not your cup of tea, the thought also counts. People tend to spend money on whom they love and/or respect. And if your partner—who is caring and considerate in so many other ways—gifts you cash, don't take it as an indictment of your relationship.

It's very easy to get comfortable in a relationship and forget the little gestures that go a long way in making it a successful one over an extended period of time. <h2>Superstar Nigerian-American musician, Davido's father, Adedeji Adeleke has revealed that his new power plant will be operational in January 2025.</h2>

Speaking as a Layperson from the West-Central Africa Division during the Seventh Day Adventist General Conference Annual Council on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, Adedeji Adeleke revealed that it is a 1,250MW power plant and it will be the biggest thermal power plant in Nigeria.

He also shared his experience during the process of getting the environmental permit for the power plant which is worth $2 billion.

He disclosed that he ran into bottlenecks with "difficult government officials", with a particular official saying to him that the project will never "see the light of day".

According to the billionaire industrialist, he went on his knees and prayed to God because he did not want to accept the government official's statement as the final say.

Davido's father further shared that his firm, Pacific Energy, works closely with Chinese engineering companies for the construction and design of his power projects.

Adedeji Adeleke had earlier spoken about this power project while delivering a lecture note at the 9th graduation ceremony of Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State in July 2023.

He said that his team started it in a village in Ondo State and it provided over 1,000 indigenes of the locality with employment opportunities. He added that they brought in turbines that cost about $72 million.

However, things took a rather unpleasant turn when looters infiltrated the power plant site to steal components of the turbine machines worth approximately $5 million. This caused a delay in the project. But the power magnate has now gladly announced that the project is near completion.

The billionaire industrialist presently generates 15% of the electricity for Nigeria.
