Museveni penned the foreword for the book titled “Jesus’ Africa,” wherein he praised his daughter’s brilliance, which he says was unmistakable, right from when she was a school girl.
He highlighted how her excellent performance at the Senior 4 level opened the door for her to study in the United States.
"In school, she was a super performer, emerging among the topmost 32 in the whole country in the Senior Four examinations in 1995 and making it to the dean's list at the University of Minnesota, a large university in America with tens of thousands of students,” writes President Museveni.
The president also hails the 44 year old’s “deep personal religious conviction, her deep deep understanding of the scriptures, their interpretation and their conveyance to us, the not so involved.”
First Daughter Patience and her husband Odreck Rwabwogo
In the 461-page book, Mrs Rwabowgo discusses the place of Africa in God's redemptive plan, but she also tackles her personal story and her spiritual encounter with God.
She talks about how she encountered the voice of God at the age of 11, which set her on the path to preach the gospel.
She is the founder and senior pastor of the Covenant of Nations Church in Luzira.
The First Daughter says writing the book has taken her more than three years, but the journey behind the story has taken many more years.
The book will be launched on Friday June 23th with American Civil Rights leader Rev Dr Jim Holley as the guest speaker.
