Following Luttamaguzi's switch to NUP, Faruk Kirunda, who is also a presidential assistant (press and mobilisation), posted on X: "Hon. Lutamaguzi is free to choose a political side of his preference but no one has a right to demonise the political choices of other free Ugandans and insult them for it. On H.E the President's PDM tours, accountability for any funds used is done with the appropriate organs of Govt and not on podiums or social media. I challenge the Nakaseke South MP to prove that Shs2billion spending. Most leaders attacking the President's tours have failed to mobilise their people for Wealth Creation and feel threatened by his touch with the previously "neglected" populace that are seeing new light with PDM. FK"
Paulson Luttamaguzi has been a member of the Democratic Party.
