The Court’s Justice Elizabeth Kabanda last week tasked the lawyers of Mrs Rukundo to furnish the court with proof of family ownership of the properties set to be split.
These include seven high-end cars, a storied residential building and several plots of land. Rukundo reportedly insisted on a 50/50 split of the properties according to court documents.
This case has been ongoing since 2018 when Rukundo first filed for divorce following misunderstandings with the senior pastor.
The couple has been married for over 20 years.
Pastor Kiwewesi and his wife Rukundo
However, six years ago, Rukundo decided to file for a divorce, accusing Kiwewesi of disserting her and starving her sexuality. She also claimed that the man of God was subjecting her to emotional cruelty.
Pastor Kiwewesi in his filed response, did not oppose the separation, saying that he too had suffered a great deal at the hands of his wife.
He accused her of abandoning him to go live in the United States with their three children.
Kiwewesi also accused Rukundo of engaging in ungodly practices including excessive drinking.
Rukundo on the other hand said she resorted to this behaviour as a way of dealing with the stress she was suffering.
