The information about the schools has been making rounds on social media, prompting controversy.
In a statement released on February 1, the Ministry of Education and Sports revealed that Term One for S.1 students is February 19, two weeks after the official opening of the School Calendar 2024.
Top schools have already set cut-off points, following the selection exercise that was conducted at the Uganda Manufactures' Association (UMA) Grounds in Kampala starting February 1.
This came after the release of the 2024 PLE results.
