Amid the heated debate on who won the battle, claims came up that the showrunners deliberately messed up Cindy’s sound at the start in order to tilt the show in favor of the Karma Music boss.
Muganga however, denied these claims stating that there was no such conspiracy, either during the rehearsals or at the main show.
On the contrary, Muganga revealed that Cindy had brought faulty equipment and that they had to replace them with new ones at the cost of the university.
“The agreement was that each artist comes with their own music equipment of their choice,” Muganga told Bukedde TV on Friday.
“There was a time when Cindy’s own equipment which she brought herself, failed to work and what happened was that we got money and purchased new equipment and gave it to her and she was very happy.”
The VC also confirmed in the interview that he is related by blood to Sheebah , but said that this had no bearing on the organization of the concert.
“Yes, she is my cousin's sister, but I am a professional,” Muganga stressed.
“If I wanted to take sides I would have perhaps sabotaged Cindy at the concert, but none of that happened."
Speaking last Saturday after the Kololo Battle, Sheebah complained about supporters who “unfairly” criticized her performance.
The social media reaction, she said, was largely negative and disregarded even the best parts of her show.
