Second annual AMC conference explores Africa's $3.4 trillion economy for marketers

The African Marketing Confederation (AMC) has officially announced the theme for the highly anticipated second annual conference: "Africa's $3.4 Trillion Economy: Opportunities for Marketers."

The AMC was launched on Tuesday, June 13th, at MoTIV in Bugolobi

This year's conference aims to highlight the untapped potential within Africa's vast market, providing attendees with valuable insights and tools to explore new business opportunities.

Africa presents an attractive ground for marketers seeking new ventures, with its rich natural resources and a population of over 1.3 billion people.

The AMC conference emphasises that compelling keynote speeches, interactive sessions, and panel discussions will equip attendees with the necessary knowledge and skills to tap into Africa's unique market.

The conference, scheduled from September 6 to 9, 2023, will be hosted by the Uganda Marketers Society (UMS) at the Imperial Botanical Beach Hotel in Entebbe, Uganda.

The UMS, a leading organisation for marketing professionals in Uganda, is responsible for professional skills development and the promotion of marketing standards and practices.

David Balikuddembe, the President of the Uganda Marketers Society, highlights that the AMC conference is a must-attend for marketing professionals in Uganda. Balikuddembe expresses excitement about the exceptional lineup of speakers covering diverse marketing topics.

"We'll be discussing different topics, ranging from AI technology, to how brands take advantage of the changes in media at the #AMC2023. We will be exploring how we can tap into Africa's $3.4 trillion potential.'' Balikuddembe noted at the AMC launch at MoTIV yesterday.

The conference offers marketers a remarkable opportunity to acquire new skills and expand their network with professionals from across the continent.

The AMC aims to promote professionalism, ethics, and integrity in the marketing fraternity throughout the continent.

With member organisations from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Mauritius, Malawi, Morocco, and Uganda, the AMC strives to unify and exchange expertise among these bodies.

In an effort to create a more cohesive and effective professional landscape in Africa, the conference will run alongside the inaugural Technology Information Confederation Africa.
