The slain who is also known as Jajja Iculi and Isma Olaxes was gunned down on Saturday, May 6 2023 as he approached his home at 9:20pm.
While addressing journalists at the Police headquarters in Naguru on Monday, May 8 2023, Enanga said Isma’s attack was planned and that the attackers fired at him at close range.
He added that the investigative security team is reviewing the entire movement of the slain and his driver on Saturday from Munyonyo where he was playing football up to the spot where he was shot from.
The driver, Mathias Waiswa, who was travelling with the deceased on the fateful night, is part of the three suspects in police custody.
Enanga said the cyber security team is also considering another lead of a phone call the deceased received last that night.
“The driver, Waiswa is still in our protective custody… Outside the drive, we also have two other suspects who have been arrested. Together we have three people whom we are interviewing for now,” Enanga told journalists on Monday.
Videos of the 59-year-old vlogger in support of the murder of the late State Minister for Labour, Employment and Industries, Rtd. Col. Charles Okello Engola, circulated on social media after his death.
He accused the minister of not paying his bodyguard and said he deserved what befell him.
“You have made people who work for you suffer yet you live a good life. The people who work for you toil to give you a comfortable life but they go unappreciated,” he said adding that the deceased failed to pay the man yet he was a minister for labour.
Police on the fateful day released a statement saying the slain was murdered with submachine gun, but new reports indicate he was murdered with a pistol.
“Preliminary reports indicate that an unidentified gunman armed with a submachine gun opened fire on the vehicle, resulting in the fatal shooting of Tusubira Ibrahim, who was seated in the passenger seat at the time of the attack,” a statement, which was signed off by Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Public Relations Officer, read.
Isma was raised in a typical Muslim family and had 39 siblings. In total they were 40 siblings raised by a Tabliq man.
