Tanzanian singer Zuchu has stirred up speculation about her relationship with her boss, Diamond Platnumz, after posing a question about their potential marriage during a live performance.

The incident occurred at the Pangani Kunono event held at Pangani grounds on April 16, where Zuchu surprised Diamond and fans alike with altered lyrics to their collaborative song 'Watasubiri.'

<h3>Questioning Diamond's commitment</h3>

During their joint performance, Zuchu seized the opportunity to introduce a twist to their hit song 'Watasubiri,' catching everyone off guard with her candid question directed at Diamond.

In a video shared by Wasafi on April 17, the duo is seen sharing an intimate moment on stage, exchanging heartfelt looks as they sing together.

Diamond initiated the alteration by inserting new lyrics into their song, asking Zuchu if she would bear him a child: "Ati unanipenda mi, mmh, unanitaka pia, mmh, unaniamini, na utanizalia?"

Following Diamond's verse, Zuchu chimed in with her rendition: "Unanipenda mimi, unanitaka piaaaa... Unaioa lini? ama unanitumia?"

The unexpected question left fans excited, while Diamond appeared surprised but amused by the playful exchange, laughing it off on stage.

Zuchu then rallied the crowd to encourage Diamond to marry her, playfully urging them to chant for the union.

As a gesture of appreciation for their loyalty, she also tossed some Tanzanian notes into the audience.

Zuchu is finally ready to marry Diamond  after years of joy & tears

Tanzanian singer Zuhura aka Zuchu found herself at the center of a storm following her recent performance in Zanzibar.

The songstress, known for her melodious tunes and captivating stage presence, faced suspension by the Zanzibar Arts, Census, Film, and Cultural Council (BASSFU) after her appearance at the Full Moon Kendwa Night show on February 24.

<h3>Zuchu's controversial performance raises eyebrows</h3>

Zuchu's performance stirred controversy and raised eyebrows among Zanzibar residents. Videos of her act circulated online, sparking outrage and prompting the Cultural Council to take action.

The council, tasked with safeguarding Zanzibar's rich cultural heritage, found Zuchu's performance unsuitable for the island's cultural norms.

<h3>Zuchu's 6 months suspension &amp; investigation </h3>

In response to public concern, the BASSFU swiftly launched an investigation into the matter.

The council suspended Zuchu from performing in Zanzibar for a period of six months, citing her inappropriate show as the reason for the disciplinary action.

The suspension underscores the seriousness with which Zanzibar authorities view any deviation from the island's cultural standards.

<h3>Zuchu issues apology and pledges improvement</h3>

Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, Zuchu issued a heartfelt apology through her label, WCB.

She expressed regret for the chaos caused by her performance and clarified that her intention was solely to entertain her fans.

In her official statement, Zuchu apologised for the words she used during the show, recognizing their negative impact on society and her supporters.

“I would like to use this opportunity to apologise for the words I used in the rhyme that caused chaos at the Full Moon Party - Kendwa Beach Zanzibar festival recently. I know that the words have brought confusion to many of you and brought a negative meaning to society and my fans. My intention was to bring good entertainment and happiness to all my fans," she said.

Pledging to avoid such incidents in the future, Zuchu emphasized her commitment to working with her team to ensure that her performances uphold moral standards and avoid controversy.

"It is not my goal to mislead, erode morals, or cause trouble for anyone. I am taking a pledge today to work with my team to ensure that such incidents do not happen again at future concerts. I apologize again to the community and the Arts Council (BASATA) who are my guardians," she said.

She expressed her desire to bring happiness and entertainment to her fans without causing confusion or trouble.

In January 2019, Zari Hassan poked holes at Diamond’s credibility by saying that she is the only financial provider for her children.

And in April, Zari claimed that Nillan and Tiffah have forgotten their father since he is not present in their lives.

“We have forgotten about you, you no longer exist. You have no contact with your kids because you decided to; your ego does not let you to. We do not get any emotional or financial support from you!” said Zari.

In an interview with Wasafi FM, Diamond claimed that the reason he hasn’t been able to speak to his kids is that Zari blocked all avenues of communication between him and the kids.

“She blocked all the avenues I could use to communicate with the kids. And again, now that she has a man in her life I cannot be calling her every now and again asking her to pass the phone to my children. What would her new lover think? That maybe I am trying to win her back, which is not the case. That explains why I stopped visiting or communicating regularly with the children. I have however, asked Zari to write down all the financial needs of the children, and I will be sending money directly to the accounts of those respective firms offering the services she would have listed,” Diamond said.

On claims of Zari hindering him from seeing his children, the business lady said that Diamond is the one who has been ignoring his children and he even blocked them on his phone.

“I have not stopped him from speaking to his children. I gave you (Diamond) the nanny’s number and the boys’ number at the house so if you ever wanted to call the kids at any time you would. You have never called the nannies. It got to a point where you literally blocked them. I never stopped you from calling your kids. You have all the numbers,” Zari said in a video on social media.

While Zari and Diamond go back and forth on whether he is a dead beat dad or not, Hamisa has come out to vouch for her baby daddy.

“Diamond is a good father to our baby and that is enough. Because nothing is harder than raising a child alone so when you get the support of your baby daddy the burden becomes lighter,” Hamisa told Wasafi TV.

This is amid claims that Diamond has blocked his kids with Zari.
