Vlogger Edgar Obare has responded to YouTuber and Ebru TV presenter Yummy Mummy after her comment on his near-death ordeal at a city restaurant a few days ago, where he suffered an allergic reaction to sea food.

In her commentary over the same on Ebru TV, Yummy Mummy stated that Obare’s reaction and move to post the entire thing on social media attacking the restaurant was uncalled for, because as an adult, he should have known what he is allergic to.

The presenter insinuated that the whole thing could have been stage managed and <a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/entertainment/i-genuinely-loved-him-he-knows-that-tanasha-donna-responds-to-claims-of-using-diamond/tx618gb">should not be the responsibility of the company, in any way.</a>

“Even them offering to pay for his bill is charity because as an adult and no hate to Edgar, I feel like as a functioning adult, you need to know what you are allergic to. I’m sorry you can’t have lived 30 years and not know what you are allergic to; if its peanuts, if its fish, eggs whatever, it’s your responsibility to know whatever you are taking. I mean even me if I wanted to sue a company and I know that I’m allergic to eggs si I just go there and order eggs, that doesn’t put the responsibility on them, their food is their food but you should know what you are allergic to so that it’s not their fault,” said Yummy Mummy during her Let’s Talk show.

Edgar Obare then responded to her remarks saying that the issue is not about knowing what you are allergic to or not, but about not letting yourself die at someone’s restaurant.

“I have spent most of this week seeing people arguing and telling me how I should have felt and handled this whole thing. What yummy mummy said summarized it very well, ati “Edgar is an adult you need to know what you are allergic to. Can’t have lived 30 years and not know. It’s your responsibility not to die at someone’s restaurant,” read his response.

Over the weekend, Edgar in a long post on Instagram revealed that he had gone for lunch at one of the Artcaffe restaurants, before he started experiencing difficulty breathing and a scratchy throat, and his face swelling after having his meal.

He then accused the restaurant of doing nothing to help him, despite seeing that he was in pain. After his announcement, Artcaffe Kenya management reached out, and settled his medical bill.

New details have emerged on the arrest of controversial social media personality Edgar Obare who is known for his hard-hitting exposes.

Obare who is currently being held at Gigiri police station was seized by 10 officers a few days ago with his lawyer Titus Munene Kinyua stating that he will be arraigned in court on 03 August 2020.

Kinyua revealed that his client will be <a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/entertainment/i-dont-feel-safe-where-im-being-held-edgar-obare-appeals-from-gigiri-police-station/cbthzxf">charged with exposure of private data</a> in contravention of Section 72 of the Data Protection Act.

The lawyer lamented that "due process was not followed” during the arrest, adding that it was a case of intimidation with 10-man police squad deployed to take in the blogger.

“It was pure police intimidation. He was arrested by 10 officers as if he is a dangerous criminal.

"They forced him into signing a search warrant, they confiscated his gadgets which are his means of trade. They arrested him on a Thursday in line with the 'Kamata Kamata Fridays' to be able to keep him in custody over the weekend," said Kinyua.

He maintained that the decision to deny his client bail was malicious, adding that the police are acting on the orders of a well-connected individual to frustrate his client.

Obare made headlines after sensationally linking a popular celebrity with a private jet trip that was taken by two high-ranking politicians.

The blogger took to Twitter on Saturday (01 August 2020), expressing fear over his life in a post that read: "I am not safe and I don’t feel safe where am being held, I have struggled with getting bail but now I understand why it’s being denied".

He will be arraigned in court on Monday, 03 August 2020

Popular social media personality Edgar Obare has expressed concerns over his safety in police custody.

Through his verified social media pages, Edgar claimed not to be safe at Gigiri Police Station where he has been held since his arrest.

A tweet from his handle on Saturday morning read: "I am not safe and I don’t feel safe where I'm being held, I have struggled with getting bail but now I understand why it’s being denied. Please support&nbsp;#freeedgarobare."

Further posts on his Instagram page conveyed that police had sought to transfer him to another facility overnight.

Details shared by Xtian Dela also clarified that Obare's devices had been confiscated and it is his media team that was posting updates.

Blogger Edgar Obare has claimed that he was arrested just days after he claimed to have received summon to appear at the <a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/entertainment/jalango-and-his-boys-club-exposed-for-allegedly-cheating-on-their-partners-with/zgvgpqd">Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)</a> headquarters.

In a post he shared on his insta-story, the blogger alleged that he had been arrested by "many officers" from his home and he was headed to Nairobi, but did not reveal any further details.

“As I said earlier I was summoned by the DCI. Today morning I was arrested by very many officers at my home. Now am headed to Nairobi. Thank you for your undying support,” said Edgar Obare.

His alleged arrest comes a few days after he shared that he had been summoned to appear at the DCI headquarters without fail.

In his post, Obare claimed that the DCI summon was for him to answer some questions about YouTuber and influencer Natalie Tewa.

“So yesterday I was informed I am being summoned to the DCI, I was kindly requested by an officer to appear at the DCI HQ without fail in the next few days. I am told the purpose of this summon is to answer questions about Natalie Tewa. Must be nice being Natalie Tewa,” wrote Obare.

This comes a few weeks after the blogger ran an exposé alleging that the YouTuber had traveled together with Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho to Dubai when the Governor and Suna East MP Junet Mohammed went to visit ODM leader Raila Odinga in Dubai after a minor surgery.

Just as we begin to believe that the boys club sensation is ebbing, plop drops a sex tape that everyone now needs to watch.

More than that, every single one of us has an opinion about how disgusting these men are and how the lady in the sex tape is such a waste, how could she allow herself to be filmed while having sex?

Jalang'o Mwenyewe feels the need to do some damage control so he does a softly-worded post on social media appealing to all our humanity. Demonstrating how we are just like them and they are just like us but he is a good person so he will do nothing to Edgar Obare.

The unpopular opinion

Why are we obsessed with the dirty, naked, scandalous details of other people's lives? Why is it exciting to know that a bunch of nondescript men have designed a method to their shared eccentricities?

Social Sciences researchers have conducted a number of studies on the psychological phenomenon commonly referred to as "negativity bias". That we tend to register and fixate on the negative nature of things as opposed to the positive.

The only reason why we have had to suffer through a week-long barrage of opinions on sex tapes and sexcapades is because we already judged the boys club as immoral and a danger to society as we would like it to be.

With the kind of attention they have received, I bet there are so many other groups of male friends who have borrowed new ideas on how to go about their future male-bonding rituals.

Worse still, this exposed boys club may have emboldened various others that have been in operation far longer than Jalang'o and his ilk. Meaning that we may have unleashed the very same dragon we are trying to subdue.

Dare I suggest that for once we go in the totally different direction?

How about next time, we ignore and move on. How about we refuse to be dragged into someone else's drama and we focus on more of what we would like to see in society? I think that will serve humanity better than a viral unpopular fetish.

Comedian and Radio host Jalang’o has finally come out to explain the leaked Boys Cub chat between him and his close friends that had them trending on social media over cheating claims.

In a long post, the comedian admitted that the chats belong to them and that they've had a rough two days.

He mentioned that whoever leaked the conversation picked just one part, which they wanted but did not tell what led to that kind of conversation.

“The past two days have been very rough for me and my close friends because of the chats from our wassp group, yes we agree that it was our group and its a group that has been there for soo many years and through the group we have achieved a lot in developing ourselves in different fields more so investment which was the sole reason for the group. The boys are not just friends but people we grew up with from childhood, went to school together and achieved a lot together. On the chats you’ve seen , no one will tell you the genesis of the chats or the previous chats but they picked what they wanted you to see, we have been judged, abused and crucified and told that we formed a boys group just to have our pleasures.

“We will not defend ourselves but this was just another random boys chat in a wassp group, the difference between us and you is that your chats haven’t leaked out but I can assure you that in most wassp groups chats about men, women, money can never miss. People have blown this out of proportion and I can assure you we are totally broken. I have had people call me to encourage me and the boys and others calling to just condemn us, we have taken this as a lesson. There is a lot of malice and hate around it but we can’t go there now," reads part of the post.

Jalang’o responds after Edgar Obare claimed to have received threats from him

Jalang’o said that after the Coronavirus outbreak, most of his friends closed shop and he asked them to help him build his YouTube channel and they converted one of their apartments for that sole purpose.

After they were done with shooting, they would hang out at the apartment, but none of them ever slept at the apartment, unless they had work to do that required them to work at night.

“What really happened? Or whatx the truth? When Covid happen most of my friends closed office and I requested them to come help me build my YouTube channel, we took one of our appointments and turned into a fully-fledged studio and thats where we have been shooting, occasionally we go to where our guest is or hire a place to work depending on guest request, we are always done by 2 or 3pm so we sit back and just relax have a boys time and chat, few friends have joined us too. We went a created one of the biggest online platforms and we already had clients buying space for marketing and advertising and we were already on a roll gaining upto 10k subscribers per week! Rarely did anyone sleep at the apartment unless we had an overnight shoot or editing going on!” he said.

I have not been fired

Heavy J Baba also clarified that he is on his annual leave and had not been fired as most people claimed on social media.

He also denied being part of the leaked sex tape that is going viral as being from the apartment, and that none of his friends is part of it.

“The lies are too many that we ourselves are reading this things on the blogs and just wondering whom they are talking about.

1. I have not been sent to any compulsory leave, my 2 weeks annual leave began last week and ill be back on radio in 2 weeks

2. There are videos going around, i can assure you none of them is us.

3. That we created the group to share women amongst us, thats a lie. That day we were having a random boys chat and thats how the photos you see came up,” read another part of the post.

Milele FM’s Jalang’o discloses the weirdest thing a fan has ever done to him

The Milele FM presenter accused blogger Edgar Obare of having something against him, as he noted that this is not the first time he has tried to tarnish his name.

According to Jalang’o, he started following him last year (2019) and it all backfired, and he has never stopped since.

He mentioned that the damage he (Obare) had caused them is irreparable and that homes have been broken from his act, but together with his friends, Jalang’o will not sue him.

Jalang’o stated that he had lost businesses from many clients, but he will take it as a lesson, as he also asked for forgiveness for anyone that they have offended.

Media Personality Jalang’o and his close male friends have become a trending topic on Twitter after allegations of cheating on their partners with different <a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/entertainment/im-sick-and-tired-of-fearing-for-my-life-edgar-obare-speaks-after-receiving-threats/kkw2j0g">Nairobi girls surfaced online.</a>

The allegations were engineered by blogger Edgar Obare after he got hold of screenshots from a WhatsApp group that is believed to be that of Jalang’o and his Boys Club.

Going by the screenshots, the Boys club have a tendency of sleeping around with different girls and go ahead to compare notes in the group.

Kenyans on Twitter have expressed disappointment in the boys club and married men at large who go around cheating on their wives.

The vlogger reveled that he had gone into hiding because his life was in danger. “I left in the middle of the night and have gone incognito and incase anything happens to me i want my story out there” read one of his posts.&nbsp;

Akothee’s response after claims of being pregnant with Bahati’s child

The Milele FM presenter, took to social media to disclose that he had not called Edgar and neither had he told him to meet him at the DCI office as Edgar had reported. The Comedian revealed he was busy working past midnight at Radsion Blu when he woke up to the allegations.

He added that there were people out there with malicious intentions who were trying to bring him down and tarnish his name but they would not succeed.&nbsp;

In a number of Insta-stories the Vlogger, claims that he received a call from Jalang’o informing him that he is needed at DCI offices for a meeting he did not give its details.

“I’m sick and tired of fearing for my safety and everything for my safety and staying quiet, Yesterday Jalang’o calls me and asks can I come for a meeting at the DCI, I ask what it is about and he refuses to say” wrote Edgar Obare.

Declined to show up

He states that he turned down the offer to meet the Milele FM presenter, a thinking that made him angry.

This comes days after Edgar was forced to pull down videos from his YouTube channel; highlighting Jalang'o, Terence Creative and Jackie Matubia’s infidelity in their relationships.

Pulse Live&nbsp;reached out to the YouTuber who stated that he decided to pull the videos down after some of the celebrities reached out to him.

He added that others whose names he did not mention wanted to take legal action against him.

“I pulled them down. Some out of mercy with the celebs reaching out, others were trying to sue me,” said Edgar Obare.

Obare has been exposing celebrities who allegedly cheat on their partners.
