In a tweet, the former Sue Na Johnnie actress, mentioned that Njugush held her hand and now she is living off social media gigs courtesy of the funny man.

“An appreciation tweet for @BlessedNjugush , I am literally&nbsp;living off social media gigs because you held my hand , you showed me the ropes .you are appreciated litu bro Folded hands” reads Kate actress’s message to Njugush.

Upon seeing the beautiful message, Njugush replied “Thanks so much wamapupuu.....but...can 2020 look at us the way you look at me.....”.

The conversation between the two actors prompted Kenyan on Twitter to join in, saluting them for supporting each other. The two who are family friends, have acted together in Sue na Johnnie a local TV drama that used to air on Maisha Magic East.

Teenage pregnancies

On Wednesday,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/news/machakos-county-records-4000-teen-pregnancies-in-last-4-months/4hd3zs2">Machakos County recorded at least 4,000 teenage pregnancies</a> during this period where school children are at home.

The shocking data released by the Machakos Children's department painted a grim picture of the threat to girls education and future.

In March, similar concerns were raised in the coastal region, where it was reported that minors had suffered from abuse amid the ongoing pandemic.

Fifteen teenage girls, with some as young as 13 years&nbsp;were impregnated and some married off&nbsp;in Kisauni, Mombasa County.

In a post seen by Pulse Live, Kate is advising young people to stop pleasing their friends or followers with their savings or profits and instead invest the hard-earned cash in something that has returns.

In a Q&amp;A session via her Insta-stories the actress stated that she never ignores her fans but the biggest challenge is how many people approach her. She pointed out that some people are very rude and rough.

The former Mother-in-law actress added that she can’t afford to ignore her fans because without them she would not be where she is now.

Gender reveal party

In December, The Plan B actress, held a lavish gender reveal party where she announced that she would be expecting a baby girl.

“Be specific in your prayers God listens 🙏🏿😊🌸....,” she captioned one of her pictures.

The gender reveal party which was themed pink, was attended only by friends close to Ms Kamau’s heart. She also mentioned that the reveal party would double up as her baby shower, as she took a break to welcome her second child.

In October 2019, the former Mother in Law actress took to Instagram to announce that her and her husband Phillip Karanja were expecting a new born into their family.

An excited <a data-link-role-code="none" href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/entertainment/actress-catherine-kamau-aka-celina-and-hubby-phillip-karanja-announce-pregnancy-with/p91j0pb" rel="noopener noreferrer">Mrs Karanja</a> made the announcement via her Instagram, with exquisite photos, stating how grateful she was about the pregnancy.

The Kenya Film Commission has announced its nominees for the 9th annual edition of the Kalasha TV &amp; Film awards 2019.

The nominees were unveiled at a ceremony which took place at the Imax 20th Century Cinema on 1st November. The event which celebrates exceptional talent in Film and TV industry in Kenya will be held on Saturday 30th November.

Kalasha Awards 2019 has 17 Film categories, 9 TV categories and 5 Special Awards categories. Among these are two new categories: Best TV Reality and Best Student Short film.

The Judges for Kalasha 2019 include: Linda Karuru, a leading producer in TV and Film industry, TV and Film Producer Fred Makori, Dr Racheal Diang’a a film professor at USIU, TV &amp; Film Producer Irene Mukonyoro, Film Producer director and script writer Kang’ethe Mungai, Actress &amp; Voice Over Artist Irene Kariuki, Game Designer And Animator Dennis Mbuthia and Dr Simon Peter, a scholar in performing arts and film studies from the University of Leeds.

Some of the nominees include; Pascal Tokodi, Joyce Omondi, Amina Rabar, Brenda Wairimu, Nick Mutuma, Neomi Nganga, Catherine Kamau, Brenda Wairimu, Sarah Hassan and Eve D'Souza among others.

The best feature film category comprises of Sarah Hassan (Plan B), Apple Matere (Dream Child), Nick Mutuma (You again), Edijoe Mwaniki (Lost in time), Njoki Muhoho (Ensulo), Slobhaina Wilson (Lusala), Dancurf Brown (poker) and Njoki Muhoho (Promises).

In the best supporting actress category, we have Neomi Ng’anga (You again), Catherine Kamau (Plan B ), Mkamzee Mwatela (Lusala), Breanda Wairimu (Best Friends Forever) and Laureen Ndesandjo (Naahidi).

Best Lead actor in film Martuin Githinji (Best friends forever), Nick Mutuma (You again), Joe Kinyua (The whistle blower), Brian Ogola (Lusala) and George Mo (Lost in time).

Here are the nominees In the Best TV Drama: The wives (Benjamin Onyango/ H.G. Wells), Selina (Reuben Odanga), Monka (Scolly Odange), Pete (Daudi Otieno) and Ithaga Riene (Roselyne Wanjiku).

Amina Abdi Rabar who hosts The Turn up has been nominated as the best host in TV Show alongside Kush tracey (chat spot), Jeff Koinange (The xyz show), Mwaniki Mageria (Foods of Kenya), Joyce Omondi (Full circle).

Nominees in the Best Tv Comedy include; Njoro wa uba (Lucyb Mwangi), Nyanya Rukia (Daudi Otieno), Baba Yao (Kimathi Iceberg), Varshita (Lucy Mwangi) and Vioja Mahakamani (Ndavula Emmanuel).

Pascal Tokodi of Selina has been nominated in the Best Lead Actor in TV drama alongside; Maqbul Mohammed (Varshita). Benjamin Onyango (The wives), Joe Kinyua (Njoro wa Uba) and Leon Ongaya (pete).

Eve D’Souza of Varshita has also been nominated in the Best performance in TV comedy alongside Zulekha (Vioja Mahakamani), Kierran Ratanya (Baba yao), Peter Sankale (Hullabaloo Estate), and Kazungu Fahamu (Nyanya Rukia).

Our perfect wedding (Eugene Mbugu) and Ms. President (Isabel Munyua) have also been nominated as the Best TV reality.

Actress <a href="https://www.pulselive.co.ke/entertainment/actress-catherine-kamau-and-hubby-talks-about-struggles-to-get-a-baby-two-years-after/q39hefm" link="null" rel="noopener noreferrer">Catherine Kamau Karanja</a> has cautioned young girls against getting pregnant, saying that taking care of a child is not as easy, as many may think.

In an update seen by Pulse Live, Kate mentioned that young girls should not emulate other people (women) who probably fell pregnant at an early age and managed to sail through, as things might not be the same for them.

She also warned against the mentality of getting pregnant with the purpose of trapping a man in a relationship, as most of the time the trick doesn’t work.

“Can we stop telling young girls …it’s oaky when they fall pregnant? Because it’s not! And it’s going to extremely hard. Just because the person you look up to made it doesn’t mean you will, we are different and we come from different backgrounds. Think about your parents who are scarifying everything for you. If you are already there, please learn from it and rest assured liufe will never be the same. It’s not about you anymore, that’s baby is your life now. If you are thinking about getting pregnant to keep a man who will disgrace you (I promise you) he will in a few months, please my dear Don’t. Please wait. It’s a beautiful thing when you just wait a little. Secure your future young queen. Aki sikizeni tu” said Kate Actress.

She added that; “This Teenage / Early pregnancy epidemic just breaks my heart... They have so many people to learn from, so much information, The DMs and messages just make me angry sometimes. What is to be done? Haven’t we told our stories enough! Do you agree with my post this morning . THE NARRATIVE HAS TO CHANGE ! ITS NOT OKAY YOUNG QUEEN! WAIT!!”

Her advice comes days after she opened on the struggles she went through in the quest to have a baby with her hubby Phillip Karanja.

"I remember I really wanted one even before our wedding, I was in a rush to get one but being the planner he is we delayed mpaka I was like me I’m good. Now the trying period is something else and I’m the most impatient person so I kept on wondering, so kukurukakara zikihappen ndiyo huyo mimi kesho nishapima. And kept on getting disappointed to a point I was feeling like, I don’t want to try any more. When you really want one that’s when it doesn’t happen and I went to the doctor, I didn’t have a problem it was just anxiety” said Catherine Kamau.
