"You are simply intimidated too easily. There are many wealthy people in the world, but we do our best," said Yawe when asked how his brothers had managed to amass wealth. He went on to reveal that their father, Jackson Wellington Ssentamu, owned numerous assets that were lost when he became a rebel.
Eddy Yawe Sentamu inadvertently disclosed that his family has long been in possession of significant property, which explains their continued wealth.

"Our father was a rebel, and we followed in his footsteps, hoping to gain much after the war, but we didn’t. We lost many of our assets, including cattle," Eddy Yawe added, also noting that their relatives own most of the luxurious houses in Gomba. "So, we did our best to get where we are today... And we're not the only ones. When you go to Gomba, most of the flats there are owned by our relatives."
In a previous interview, Bobi Wine, whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, mentioned that their father had been imprisoned during the Obote regime, and upon his release, the family relocated to Gomba.
When Jackson Wellington Ssentamu passed away in 2015, Bobi Wine revealed that he had 40 children, with the eldest being 50 years old and the youngest just two at the time of his death.
The Ssentamu siblings, including Chairman Nyanzi, Mikie Wine, Banjo Man, and their sister Irene Kayembe, have publicly displayed their wealth through the large houses they own.
