"It is true," said Barbie, real name Barbara Itungo Kyagulanyi, in a video shared on TikTok.
"People treat you exactly how they feel about you.
"How many times do you want someone to show you how they feel about you?
"Only once!"
Barbie uses her TikTok account where she has 487.5k followers to share some life hacks.
On keeping a secret, she has said: "This is an important lesson to learn at a young age. When you still have a long time to live. We can't tell how long we are going to live, but it's good to learn this when you are still young.
"If you don't want [more than one person] to know what's going on in your life, don't tell anyone. Don't share information you are not ready to see spread."
She recently advised girls living the city girl lifestyle to think hard and long about the future.
"These days there is something that's been disturbing me. It's about young girls who are old enough to work but they don't want to work," said Barbie.
"If God gave you hands, a brain, and legs to work, you have to. I've heard something saying that 'be beautiful and keep quiet'. Beauty is not enough. You can't eat it. You've to work. Because being beautiful is not enough."
She also believes you shouldn't be friends with someone you don't look up to.
"These are the types of people you should not get close to in your life," Barbie, the wife of singer and politician Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine, has said.
"If there are people you spend most of your time with, but what they talk about, what they do, and how they think doesn't make you feel like you should be like them, get a new circle."
At 38 and being married to a rich and celebrated figure, Barbie, who was raised in a village in Ntungamo, has possibly met people from all walks of life and she knows a thing or two about meaningful friendships and leveraging them for success.
