While Liverpool fans are hoping their legend Steven Gerrard, current manager of Aston Villa will do them a favour on the final matchday and inspire his team to upset Manchester City, a clause in Jack Grealish’s contract places the club between a rock and a hard place.

Speaking on talkSport, Micah Richards claimed that Manchester City is obliged to pay £15m if they win the premier league title according to a clause in Jack Grealish contract.

Manchester City purchased the former Aston Villa captain for a record breaking £100m transfer fee in August last year.

Interestingly, now Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard will be stuck between making ‘good business’ for the club through a ‘profitable’ loss to Manchester City or inspire his team to hand over the title to Liverpool.

Manchester City’s fate lies in its own hands as a win will be enough to secure the English Premier League title.
