A global meme it has become on the internet and in case you were wondering who this rally driver is, here is everything you need to know about him.

The memes are drawn from an internet video of a rally driver being interviewed by a reporter at a 'rally'. Wearing a helmet and bare-chested, the driver and his navigator wearing a reflector jacket and holding a placard as a map for route navigation, narrate to a journalist the troubles they have faced in the rally.

The driver and navigator explain how they lost their way, got trapped in bushes and seem not even to know their exact position in the rally. Lost and out, the two tell the reporter they only want to get back home.

So, it turns out the video is a comedy skit!

The man in the video is a one is Kennedy Kipkorir Lang’at, better known by the stage name, Arap Marindich, a comedian who ‘accidentally’ shot the skit while at the 2022 WRC Safari Rally in Kenya that was held from June 23- 26.

At the rally, Marindich, while in company of his former manager, noticed a broken-down car and viola, an eureka moment followed. He asked for permission to shoot a short skit and was granted the permission. The result is now history!

Arap Marindich is actually his grandfather’s real name. He is a 33-year-old comedian.

He dropped out of school in 2008 while in form two due to financial constraints and later pursued a driving course. After the course, he met a one Kaptula, in his home town, Ongata Rongai, in Kajiado County in Kenya.

Kaptula offered him the job of being his driver and soon noticed that Marindich is quite a humorous character and started encouraging him to shoot videos so that he could break through and make money. Kaptula would later become his manager and the two would again meet at the rally and the video happened.
