Head coach Tolbert Onyango named Jinja Hippos stars new faces to the team including Denis Etwau, Jacob Ochen, Timothy Mugisha, and Twafik Bagalana who led Hippos to the National Sevens title and Pirates best player during the series Mubarak Wandera.
Seasoned players Michael Wokorach, Aaron Ofoyrwoth, Adrian Kasito, Ian Munyani, Desire Ayera, William Nkore, Alex Aturinda and Karim Arinaitwe are the other players included for the series.
Ranked number three, Uganda faces daunting task in the opener.
Uganda will take on France in their first game at 9:28am (EAT) on Friday, December 2 then battle Ireland at 1:36pm before playing Spain in their last Pool match at 6:07pm.
Overall defending champions Australia, heavyweights South Africa and Great Britain in Pool A with neighbours Kenya.
Pool B, Fiji have been grouped against Argentina, New Zealand and newbies Uruguay.
Pool C has France, Ireland, Spain and Uganda.
Pool D has Samoa, USA, Canada and Japan.
