Bebe Cool’s son Alpha Thierry dumped,14 youngsters selected for professional trials in Europe
Proline FC’s Alpha Ssali aka Thierry was among the 22 Ugandan footballers who earlier travelled to Europe for exhibition matches.
The select side played three games; winning two and losing one.
In the list released yesterday, at least 14 footballers were selected by different clubs in Portugal, France, Scotland and Spain. Conspicuously missing out on the list, Bebe Cool’s son Alpha Thierry did not impress the scouts.
Simon Baligeya will head to FC Lyon, Ivan Irinimbabazi to AS Saint Priest, Hakim Kiwanuka to Olympique Laval and Ali Mwirusi to FC Vaulx, all in France.
Eric Ssenjobe, Derrick Emukule, Rashid Mukungu, Raymond Onyai, Nicholas Kabonge, Alfred Onek, Ivan Ocholit and Andrew Okiring will have their trials at Atletico Benidorm, CF Lanucia, Intercity CF, CF Orihuela, Boavista and Velez CF in Spain and Portugal meanwhile Enock Walusimbi and Sadat Anaku will have their trials in Scotland at Dundee United.
Successful candidates from the trials will be offered contracts, a perfect launchpad for professional football career.
