Unemployed Ronaldo in tears as Portugal begin World Cup campaign

Cristiano Ronaldo was in tears as Portugal kicked off their 2022 World Cup campaign against Ghana at the 974 Stadium.

A teary Ronaldo could not hold back his emotions as he sang the Portuguese national anthem ahead of their clash with the Black Stars. Playing his fifth World Cup, the Doha edition is largely considered as the final dance of the great footballer.

The Portugal captain, prior to the World Cup sent the football world into a frenzy following his explosive 90-minute interview with Piers Morgan which culminated into the termination of his contract with Manchester United.

Now, a free agent, Ronaldo was also spotted high-fiving mascots prior to the anthem.

He will definitely be focusing on getting the best of his final World Cup as club football, largely now remains his decision in January next year.
