According to reliable reports, Shaban will be a free agent this weekend as his contract with the West Nile giants runs out. The striker will not renew his contract with the club and is said to be set for unveiling at Naguru based club KCCA FC.

Shaban is said to have agreed terms with KCCA FC despite receiving a number of offers from regional giants such as Simba FC in Tanzania, Al Hilal in Sudan and Zambia’s ZESCO United.

The source says Shaban is expected to don KCCA FC colours, again, officially on Monday.

KCCA FC reportedly offered Shaban a two-year-contract with the task to fire the club back to its glory days.

The club is hungry for silverware after failing to clinch any major trophy for the past three consecutive seasons.

In effort to revive the winning spirit at the club, KCCA FC recently invited Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena to identify 'gaps' at the club. According to the club statement, KCCA FC invited Mokwena to ‘leverage new existing collaborations, create a competitive advantage for the club and broaden the club’s capabilities'.

Following the visit, KCCA FC released up to eight players; Kigozi Samson Andrew, Kasirye Davis, Wafula Innocent Esimu, Erisa Ssekisambu, Kaddu Patrick Henry, Bukenya Joseph, Gift Ali Abubakar and Mugerwa Yassar.

The Kasasiro boys have since signed a clever mix of youngsters and experienced players like Waiswa Moses. The acquisition of Shaban will definitely be a step in the right direction.
