KCCA loses first match to URA
Kampala City Council [KCCA] is still topping the league table in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League despite losing 1:0 to Uganda Revenue Authority [URA] at Ndejje University Stadium in Bombo aka Arena of Visions.
Vipers could have been topping the league table now if it wasn’t for their 1:1 draw against BUL FC leaving them one point behind KCCA.
At Kitende, the Venoms at the 50th minute led the match through a goal from Ochora but the final minutes of the match saw Simon Peter Oketch scoring for the visitors BUL FC winning them a point.
After yesterday’s matches, Kampala City Council Authority continue to be table leaders with 31 points and in second position is Vipers FC with 30 points. It should also be noted that both clubs have a game in hand to play. KCCA will have to face Odumparaka Fc in a match that was cancelled by officials in Arua last month.
A point that BUL secured from a draw with Vipers solidified their fourth position with 26 points.
URA’s win saw them moving to the seventh position with 22 points but the club still has two games in hand to play.
Uganda’s StarTimes Premier League will for a month be on a break till February where the final rounds of the fixtures will be kicking off.
