Uganda’s junior women’s side, the junior gazelles will book a ticket to Madagascar if they win against Tanzania today.
Rwanda boys’ team has already qualified to the U-18 FIBA Championship due in Madagascar at the expense of Uganda and Tanzania. Rwanda amassed 6 points against Uganda’s 5 and Tanzania’s 4.

It’s a winner takes it all for junior gazelles as they face Tanzania, who are also eligible to for the dream ticket to the U-18 FIBA Championship in Madagascar.
The Uganda side will be buoyed by their earlier victory against Tanzania on Wednesday. The girls won the tie 64-36 to take charge of the table standings only to fall short against Rwanda in their second meeting with the team.
The win gifted Rwanda its first victory in the tournament running away with 52-43 score on Friday.
Namyalo Christine was the shining star for the team with 12 points, the only women’s player to achieve the feat in a match. Immaculate Adongpiny and Sylvia Nantongo registered 12 rebounds each.
Meanwhile, the junior silverback’s qualification dream went up in smoke following their third loss of the tournament. The team only won one match and lost twice to Rwanda and once against Tanzania.
