Namuwongo Blazers fought back in the National Basketball League finals game two defeating defending champions City Oilers 60-71 on Friday at MTN Arena, Lugogo.
However, in game two, Nam Blazers out rebounded City Oilers 50-46 with Amisi Saidi with a game high of 24 points, 10 rebounds and 1 assist. Deng Dikong posted 19 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Ariel Okall Okoll had 6 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists while Chris Omanye posted 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists.
City Oilers’ Francis Azolibe shot a double of 16 points and 10 rebounds. Moses Maker who managed 11 points and 10 rebounds.
JKL Dolphins’ firm grip on the title continues after winning game two to sail to a 2-0 lead in the series over UCU Lady Canons.
Star player Akello Hope posted 10 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists and former UCU Lady Canons player Rita Imanishimwe posted 17 points.
UCU Lady Canons’ Rose Akon posted a game high of 22 points,18 rebounds and 1 assist.
Should JKL Dophins win the game three on Sunday, then they will need just two wins to defend the title.
