Frank Gashumba the founder of Sisimuka Uganda who also doubles as a popular political and social commentator has claimed that politician Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine owns the same exact type of armored car like the one owned by the Commander Land Forces and first son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba adding that he knows the reason this is so.
"Tell me one opposition poliitician that drives an armored car. The car that Kyagulanyi drives was given to him by the government. The same car that he drives is the same car that government gave to Muhoozi," Gashumba said a podcast interview.
Kyagulanyi, the National Unity Platform (NUP) leader travels in a special armored Toyota Landcruiser that made news last year when it first arrived in the country. Kyagulanyi claimed that the armored had been gifted to him by his followers and well-wishers.
A few weeks after that, the multi-million car sent shock across the country when Uganda Revenue Authority recalled it to its offices for revaluation and checking if it had met the required clearance procedures. It was found that the car hadn't been cleared fully. The president then wrote to URA instructing them to clear the car to which URA responded by officially and fully clearing the car.
Gashumba made these claims to make the bigger point that NUP is a creation of the ruling party, NRM adding that the young party was created by Museveni to crush the legitimate opposition from Dr Kizza Besigye and his party, the Forum for Democratic Change.
Gashumba slammed the top leadership of NUP for being traitors to their supporters, adding that they are all getting married, building mansions, and flying high while supporters are rotting in jail.
