The election in Kenya is the biggest hot button issue in the East African region at the moment and Kenyans go to the polls tomorrow to elect a fresh upper echelon of leadership.
Kenya Decides: Kizza Besigye and Bobi Wine in Kenya to observe elections
The President of the National Unity Platform (NUP) Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine and the leader of People’s Front for Transition (PFT), Dr. Warren Kizza Besigye Kifefe, are currently in Kenya to observe elections.
This involves Kenyans electing a new president and his deputy, governors, senators, members of the national assembly, and members of the county assembly.
Besigye and Bobi Wine are part of the delegation of eminent African leaders that have been invited as special election observers of the forthcoming Kenyan polls.
“In Nairobi with other African leaders for the election observation mission courtesy of the Brenthurst Foundation,” Kyagulanyi tweeted.
As part of this observer mission, Kyagulanyi said he was delighted to meet and greet one of the frontrunner presidential candidates, Raila Amolo Odinga.
“Another part of our team yesterday met with presidential candidate William Ruto. Wishing the great people of Kenya, a free, fair, credible and peaceful election,” he revealed.
The Secretary General of NUP, David Lewis Rubongoya who is part of the Ugandan delegation to Kenya, said they are meeting various stakeholders, including presidential candidates.
The two prominent Ugandan opposition leaders have reserved their sharpest criticism for the manner and conduct of elections in Uganda with their respective followings having joined together to condemn the same.
