Muhoozi, Uganda's first son and commander of the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) land forces, tweeted saying that the majority of the European community is scoffing at the EU in solidarity with Ugandans at the move.
Muhoozi deletes tweet mocking EU lawmakers for opposing oil pipeline project
Lieutenant General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has mocked the European Parliament (EU) legislators for opposing the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project in a tweet that has since been deleted, calling them 'jokers'.

He ridiculed the move, saying that some of the officials in the EU parliament spearheading the move to obstruct the construction of the pipeline are simply making jokes.
“I know the majority of our brothers and sisters in Europe laugh much harder than us at the few jokers in the EU parliament,” Muhoozi said in the tweet.
The tweet attracted negative reactions from the Ugandan public with majority accusing the Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Duties of being rigid.
The other portion of the responses were speculating that Muhoozi was seeking to make a social media "comeback" following the several weeks hiatus from the platform.
The deleted tweet is a drop in the ocean of the numerous tweets Muhoozi has been criticised for and forced to delete because they caused tension in diplomatic circles, according to sources.
Muhoozi has earned himself the title "the Tweeting General" from his critics for the unrefined way he manages his Twitter account.
He has been summoned by the Government Assurance Committee of Parliament over the misuse of his account but the summons have been largely ignored.
In May 2022, he was summoned and a few weeks later in April, he deactivated the account, months later he returned to the social media scene.
