Muhoozi released a statement on Twitter saying: "I strongly say no, @AndrewMwenda is not the kind of man who can do such a thing. Stay strong old man and just enjoy your life as you most recently did."
Muhoozi: Andrew Mwenda is not the kind of man to sexually assault anyone
The first son and Commander Land Forces of the Uganda Peoples' Defence Forces (UPDF), Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has come out to defend his friend, Andrew Mwenda over allegations that he (Mwenda) sexually assaulted singer Sheebah Karugyi over the weekend.

Earlier, Muhoozi had stated in another tweet that: "I have read all your comments about @Ksheebah1. I have seriously interrogated my brother @AndrewMwenda and he says he has never met the lady. So, this is definitely another fake story!!"
Mwenda has today come out to declare that the allegations against him that he sexually assaulted Sheebah are unfounded and that he has never met the musician. He also slammed Sheebah for not coming out to clear his name when Social media ganged up on him to accuse him of an act that he didn't commit.
Mwenda tweeted:
"I have talked to the director of CID who has agreed to open a case to find out the person who allegedly raped singer Sheeba Kalungi. Police are going to call her and ask her to reveal the offender. Sheeba is being disingenuous in hiding the true rapist as social media lynch me."
He added in a thread:
"If Sheeba was either raped or sexually molested or violated in any way, the offender should he apprehended by police, taken to courts of law to face justice. She therefore has a duty to reveal this offender to the authorities so that justice can be served."
It is to the tweet that Muhoozi Muhoozi responded saying:
"I have read all your comments about @Ksheebah1. I have seriously interrogated my brother @AndrewMwenda and he says he has never met the lady. So, this is definitely another fake story!!"
Sheebah never mentioned any name in her complaint video which makes sense that Mwenda is upset that all fingers are suddenly pointed at him. But coming out to defend himself has tended to increase suspicions instead of allaying it.
