According to police spokesperson Fred Enanga, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations is looking into the alleged indecent of assault against Sheebah after she formally lodged a complaint at CID headquarters on Tuesday.
It was not Andrew Mwenda who assaulted me - Sheebah
Musician Sheebah Karungi has reportedly said that journalist Andrew Mwenda did not put a finger on her, indicating that he had nothing to do with the sexual harassment she alleges was inflicted upon her.

Enanga added that Sheebah revealed the individual who assaulted her as she apprised the police of the lurid details surrounding her ordeal.
“In her complaint she clearly mentions the suspect and refutes the ongoing speculation in sections of the media that it was Andrew Mwenda,” Enanga said.
Ensuring justice
Enanga said police is doing everything in its power to ensure investigations into the matter lead to justice for the aggrieved.
He thanked Sheebah for reporting the matter and assured the public that the Uganda Police takes matters of gender-based violence seriously.
Violated
The “Nkwatako” singer said she was violated during one of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s birthday parties by someone “big people in government”, using his security detail to forcibly attempt to have his way with her.
Sheebah said she was taking catnap in her car before her performance when the door swung open and “a big man” materialised from nowhere to start “acting inappropriately” towards her.
In her allegations, Sheebah did not mention names, but social media lynch mobs roped and branded Mwenda as the unnamed fondler.
As Mwenda protested his innocence, the social media pitchforks rose higher as netizens took his pleas as being prompted by guilt.
Sheebah reportedly hopes to put this whole sordid affair behind her and get on with the business of making Ugandans dance.
