Chipper Cash unveils its three brand ambassadors

Chipper Cash, a cross-border payments app, today unveiled its three Ugandan brand ambassadors at a press conference at Méstil Hotel and Residences, Nsambya, Kampala.

The three brand ambassadors are Spice Diana, Faridah Nakazibwe and Anne Kansiime who were unveiled by Chipper Cash Managing Director Dan Tumuramye. He said the three celebrities personify the values that Chipper Cash stands for with groundbreaking talents which match Chipper Cash’s groundbreaking activities.

We are keen to satisfy our customers. All these three ladies have a big following, you don’t get a big following in one day. It means that you take customers at the center of your operations or your business. Two, Chipper stands as one of the innovative brands in Africa, we are the first company to launch fractional stock investing in Uganda,” he said.

Ann Kansiime is Uganda’s top comedian while Spice Diana is one of the most sought-after musicians in East Africa and Faridah Nakazibwe is a celebrated journalist.

If you look at these ladies, they are all (innovative) brands in the sectors they operate. They, like Chipper, are international. We are going to launch operations in Zambia because we have an ambassador of Chipper Cash in Uganda (Kansiime) with ‘ninjas’ in Zambia,” he added.

Chipper Cash builds software to enable free and instant peer-to-peer cross-border payments in Africa, US and Europe. It creates solutions for businesses to process online and in-store payments. It also offers instant no-fee local and cross-border money transfer, discounted airtime purchase, and zero charges on bill payments.

Operational in nine countries across Africa, UK and the US while catering to over five million users, Chipper Cash uses technology to drive financial inclusion in Uganda and the continent through its overall value proposition of local and international transfers, crypto offerings, airtime, data, and bill payments

Chipper cash is licensed and regulated by the Capital Markets Authority and the Bank of Uganda, Tumuramye says Chipper Cash enables Ugandans invest in publicly traded global companies like Amazon, Tesla or Facebook for as little as one dollar through fractional stock investing.

He also added that Chipper Cash will soon be listed on the Uganda Securities Exchange and will roll out visa cards to enable people shop online, at home or abroad, enjoy bill payments solutions for services such pay TV and water bills. Also, he said, Chipper Cash plans to extend its operations to insurance and solar power.

The three brand ambassadors hailed Chipper Cash as a life-enhancing innovation.

“I am proudly associated with Chipper Cash,” said Nakazibwe “It opened my eyes, investment-wise.”

Spice Diana said Chipper Cash has been with her through the dark times of the lockdown, so she has never been left wanting.

Chipper was the very first company to believe in me as an influencer. It has taken care of me financially while we artistes were challenged by the Lockdown. I am so happy to be part of this,” she said.

Kansiime, who has been with Chipper Cash for 4 months, joked about first putting the brand on “probation” to see how it operates since she doesn’t associate herself with just anyone.

“I am proudly associated with Chipper Cash, just now with Faridah and Spice the fire will keep burning!” said Kansiime.

Tumuramye said Chipper Cash is building a “united community brought together by technology” in order to create products which are consumed by the whole Africa #featurebychippercash
