In the video everyone is seen having a laugh at their expense and that was a successful prank. But what happens when Moirai (God of clothes) decides to play a prank on you at a gathering and you meet your outfit doppelgänger?
A video on TikTok surfaced of five gentlemen who were tricked by their girlfriends to wear the same outfit to a brunch. They wore black and white stripped T-shirts and jeans.

When someone rains on your fashion parade, the first reaction is panic, mortification or stinging disappointment. However it is rare that two people, wearing the same dress or outfit, are rocking the same hairstyle, jewellery, shoes or make-up.
Calm down
Stay calm, if you become frazzled about it you draw more attention to yourself and risk someone connecting the polka-dots.
In the event that you both match anywhere between the sevens and the nines, before you change shopping malls or leave the party, practice empathy for the other person. They are probably experiencing the same emotions as you, and if you can't take a million pictures together while laughing about it, get creative.
Alter the look
Wear a jacket, if you brought one, or borrow one for the duration of the gathering.
If you are good at DIY and have some tools like safety pins, hit the restrooms and try to alter your dress, skirt or shirt a bit. Play around with a scarf or wrap and try to touch up or down on your make-up or jewellery.
Avoid him/her completely
Practice safety distance, it means going slow on the booze or keeping your glasses on to keep your doppelgänger in your sights. If you cannot avoid them, keep your interactions to a minimum.
If it's the bride, groom or a celebrity, the fastest exit is your best bet.
