The cliche goes that "no one speaks for nature, it doesn't have a voice," according to Alex Taremwa, Co-Founder of The Last Drop Africa and journalist. This would be true if the victims cut off from nature's basic provision were not scattered all over the North-Eastern region of Karamoja. Because nature speaks, albeit harshly and quietly. The campaign titled "My Last Meal" is a fundraiser to bring food relief to Karamoja on Sunday December 11, 2022.

The Last Drop Africa is a non-profit media organisation that speaks for nature and shines a light on behaviour that affects the eco-system.
"My Last Meal" is their latest campaign geared towards fundraising for food relief in Karamoja with the thought provoking scenario "imagine your next meal being your very last".
The organisation itself "The Last Drop" is centred around raising awareness through provoking scenarios in which a resource could be the last a person, or nature, has.
This is in light of the climate change that is fast encroaching, and has arrived in communities such as Karamoja.
According to Edward Nimusiima, Co-Founder of The Last Drop Africa, climate change is the cancer that is eating nature. It has been left untreated for so long as attention has been diverted to global and local crises and events.
Unfortunately, victims of climate-change-aggravated drought and famine remain caught in the immediate and delicate co-dependency between people and nature.
But it is not all about raising alarm, the other side of the coin is the question, "what are you willing to do to conserve that last 'thing'?" Taremwa poses the query.
The design of the campaign, is such that parents, children and schools get food relief. This design was inspired by an observation made by Taremwa where parents go to schools to enjoy meals with their children.
Under "My Last Meal" a life, a home, the environment, could be brought back from a ledge.
