If you disagree, simply look up the definition of the word ‘elegance’ and you will find that it simply means refined grace or dignified propriety.
Ramathan: Elegance returns to the streets of Kampala
First, let’s get this out of the way: long dresses are the true definition of elegance.

And so it is agreed that, with a few exceptions, ladies tend to be more graceful and dignified in long dresses than short ones, right?
This explains why ladies tend towards longer dresses on glamorous award shows like the Grammys and the Oscars.
Which brings to mind Kizza Besigye’s tweet about Lupita Nyong’o’s dress at the 94th Academy Awards ceremony. Besigye got away from his usual political commentary to show adoration of Lupita’s long dress, saying, “Unbeatable in elegance @Lupita_Nyongo was stunning the Oscars 2022! Proud.”
Long dresses are elegant and no one does it better than our Moslem sisters during Ramathan. The next few weeks will be the perfect time to see our Moslem sisters in their element, all looking humble and extremely attractive in their hijabs. Which begs the question: how comes the hijab transforms every woman into an unforgettable beauty?
People like NTV’s Farida Nakazibwe, who always tends to be a really fancy dresser, will be true eye candy this time because of Ramadan. This means that all those Kampala traders who specialize in hijabs will be smiling to the bank this month, while the men dating our Moslem sisters will be frowning from the bank. But one thing will be for sure: elegance will be flowing like milk and honey, on the streets of Kampala.
Will you be frowning from the bank or smiling to the bank?
