Although it is a common occurrence, it should not be taken lightly, as ears are closely linked to vital tissue. After a dip or shower, remove water from your ears in one of the following healthy ways.

Gravity is your first aid if you notice water in your ears. It may take you up to 30 minutes for the water to drain completely. Lie on your bed or on a flat surface and lay your head on a pillow. Rest the affected ear on the pillow and wait for gravity to do its job.

The hairdryer designed for women is an effective way to get rid of trapped water from your ears. Set the dryer heat to the lowest level and bend your neck to the side, making the affected ear face the ground.

Keep the dryer at a distance from the ear and wait for the shaking motion of the dryer to remove the moisture.

To get water, or some of it, out immediately after a bath or swim, shake your earlobe lightly. Hold you ear in one hand and bend your neck so that your head and affected ear face the ground. Then gently shake your head and ear.

Try creating space inside your ears by pressing the palm of your hand on the opening of the affected ear and making a sucking motion by pressing it and gently pulling it away.

Repeat this motion for 10 times with the affected ear in a vertical position facing the ground.

Mix eardrops with rubbing alcohol and vinegar in the eardrops container. Tilt your head with the affected ear facing up and squeeze three drops of the mixture into the ear. In a few minutes, the water and wax that were clogged will drip out of the ear. Do the same for the unaffected ear for cleansing.
