According to the UMA leaders, a physical voting process is too expensive in terms of logistics. The association agreed on a digital procedure to avoid these unnecessary costs due to the relatively small number of registered voters.
Some of the candidates have taken to their social channels to let their fans and potential voters know to engage.
Only registered voters have valid votes using a code that the association issued for the elections. Starting from 9am to 5pm each registered member of the Uganda Musicians Association will be voting for their chosen candidates by dialing *260# and following prompts.
