Swangz Avenue's Zafaran to release first single April 22nd, follows Azawi's footsteps

Swangz Avenue's latest musical signing Zafaran, real name Josephine Nakyoonyi, is set to release her debut single entitled, "Sweetheart."

She was unveiled by Swangz on March 18 this year as the newest edition to the singers on Swangz Avenue’s illustrious artist roster, thereby joining Winnie Nwagi, Vinka, and Azawi.

Zafaran provided backup vocals for King Saha and Jose Chameleone in the Swangz Avenue-produced Tusker Malt ConverSessions.

She will now drop her debut single on April 22, as announced on her socials: "Glad to to announce that on Friday 22nd April I will be releasing my Debut single SWEET HEART ❤️ 😍 Subscribe to my YouTube channel now," stated Zafaran.

Singer Nakiyingi Veronica Luggya, who is popularly known as Vinka, signed a fresh 5-year contract with Swangz Avenue, the record label announced.

The Sony Music Entertainment 's recording artist, who Swangz manages on Sony’s behalf, has carved out a distinct niche for herself in the music industry, largely thanks to the management at Swangz.

The news of her new contract was broken by Vinka's record label through their official Facebook page.

"We have extended our management relationship with Sony Music Entertainment ’s recording artist Vinka 😍 Thank you Vinka for trusting us 🤝," read the post.

Vinka’s musical career has been going from strength to strength in recent years.

Last year, she released "Thank God", a gospel track in praise of the Almighty.

The song proved to be a pathbreaking hit which left peoples’ heads bobbing and their faith rising.
