Song review: Pia's heart pounds for mysterious guy

Following the massive success of ‘Tupaate’, singer Pia Pounds has shared her first release of the year, a new song titled “Slay Farmer”, leaving fans wondering whether she is singing about her poultry business, or a new man.

Tracy Kirabo, popularly known as Pia Pounds

While the title of her new song could point to her business direction, this is not the case. In the song, she expresses how she feels about a mysterious guy in her life.

Over a short period of time, Ugandan artist Tracy Kirabo a.k.a Pia Pounds has fine-tuned herself into a brilliant and consistent brand of music, fashion and inspiration.

A few weeks ago, Pia shared her entrepreneurial mind, revealing that she does farming as a side business. The singer shared inspiring pictorial moments while attending to her poultry farm with the words "May your side hustle grow,” on her social media.

The 25 year old recently graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and she is not wasting any time diving into the lucrative venture. To boost her accounts from stage bookings and studio sessions, she set up a farm on the outskirts of Kampala which she attends to in her leisure time. Following the example of fellow musicians in farming like Chris Evans Kaweesi, Mun G, King Saha, the 'Slay Farmer' is not afraid to get her hands dirty.

The inspiration for the song is yet to be confirmed, but the Afrobeat song is a smooth flow of lyrics and grace. With her confidence growing from recent success, from her breakthrough song and education, the sky is the limit for her fans and brand.

Producer Kuseim is behind the project; you will want to dedicate this one to your lover to share in the fruits of a well-crafted sound.
