Bilangilangi says he failed to make it to the shows because of traffic jam and that he hasn't refunded the money because they agreed that he performs on future shows.
Seeta show: Zex Bilangilangi ‘refuses’ to refund Crysto Panda’s Shs700,000
Media personality Crysto Panda and singer Zex Bilangilangi have made their disagreements public after the latter failed to perform at shows organised by the former despite being paid.
"Crysto Panda is still in his youthful things, yet I outgrew that. He needs to act maturely. You have to do the delivery on time. You have to communicate on time. Not these things of calling after three hours and you say, are you coming? I called him and told him I'd failed because I was stuck in a Namugongo traffic jam," Bilangilangi said while speaking to Spark TV.
"I told him if you want me, you can call me on another show because he hosts shows in schools... I told him I'd failed and I can't make it on time and shows in schools stop at 6pm. So, I told him it was now 6:30pm and I'm in a snarl-up, which means I can't make it, my brother. I made it clear, I thought you understood... I haven't refunded him, but I told him if you want it, I can return it, or if you want, I can come and perform at another show. He has never called me again... The way he was demanding me was disrespectful and arrogant... Even if he wants it now, I can send it."
Asked how much he was paid, the Magazine hitmaker said: "It's not the kind of money I usually ask for booking but I had done him a favour as a friend,... just to buy fuel."
Panda, who is also a musician, says he had initially booked Sheebah Karungi and Fik Fameica to perform at Seeta High School Main Campus in Mukono.
However, Famieca told Panda that he couldn't make it because he got another gig in the UK, so he(Panda) turned to Bilangilangi.
He offered him Shs700,000, less than what he is usually booked for, but he accepted it because they are friends.
"I know you are worth a lot of money, but at the moment I have no money," Panda told Bilangilangi.
Panda says he wired the mobile money. He even showed the transaction message.
On the day of the event, he called him at 1pm because he was expected at 2:30pm and the event was to end at 5pm.
"When I called him, he said, don't you know it's a public holiday today? I need to eat food with my father, it is Eid."
According to Panda, he advised Bilangilangi to use a route with less traffic, because Sheebah Karungi used it and arrived in time, but he (Zex Bilangilangi) decided to use one that had a traffic jam.
Having failed to perform at Seeta, Panda told him to perform at Mt. St. Henry's High School Mukono the next day but he still failed to appear, citing a snarl-up.
Panda says: "If it was little money, how come he has never returned it?"
Panda says he should at least record a video apologising to the students who had paid to watch him perform.
