The Mbarara-based singer and songwriter said he was pushed to bring a concert to Kampala following "pestering" from fans who have seen him hold successful shows in Mbarara and also enjoyed his performances at invites to Kampala.
Ray G promises ‘the best’ at maiden Kampala concert
Reagan Muhairwe, commonly known as Ray G promised "the best" at his maiden concert in Kampala that will be held at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala on Saturday, October 29.

"I felt the urge to sing for my people in this area... After having successful concerts, my people have been pestering me, why don't you come this side?" G said while addressing newsmen at a Monday press conference held at Silk Group offices in Bugolobi, Kampala.
Ray G broke through the mainstream music industry when he dropped his hit single Amarari in 2011. His Wikipedia profile shows he began singing while at school.
The Naaba Nkwine hitmaker, who hails from Bushenyi, has since released three albums and collaborated with household names like Spice Diana, with whom they dropped a 2019 club banger titled Omusheshe.
With Levixone, they released a love ballad titled Yoya this year. Desire Luzinda graced the visuals of the song.
For his Kampala concert, G is working with Comedy Store, the brainchild of Alex Muhangi that has consistently held one of Kampala's most attended comedy events.
"Alex Muhangi has been in the central for so long, so we felt we need to borrow knowledge," G said.
The Mureebe singer has held two successful concerts in Mbarara, one in 2019 and another in 2022.
"When he did what he did this year, we felt it was time for him to come through," Muhangi, who has hosted G at Comedy Store, said.
Joshua Amanya, who manages Ray G's operations, said: "people should expect the best."
Charlie Mujabi, the manager of Silk Group, said: "Expect the best because we have everything" it takes to pull off a great show.
A number of musicians will grace and perform at the concert dubbed Ray G Live in Kampala and these include Eddy Kenzo, Spice Diana, Myko Ouma, Omega 256, Ykee Benda, Levixone, Zex Bilangilangi, and Lady Miriam Tindatiine.
