Music is bigger than us: Spice Diana's STARGAL EP

Singers Sheebah Karungi and Spice Diana reunited at the latter's STARGAL EP listening party thus putting out all rumours about any animosity between the two.

Amidst Spice's performance, Sheebah took the stage to greet her and she was well received by the StarGal. The two embraced in a hug that fizzled out any contempt that might have existed between them.

Sheebah, a well known feminist expressed her joy about the public reunion saying she has always wanted to see female artists united and dominating the industry.

This is beautiful. For me, moments like this as a woman make me so happy because I am a feminist and not a fake feminist but a real feminist so I really love moments like these," Sheebah said. Spice returned the sentiment while expressing her gratitude for Sheebah's efforts to represent females.

However, the reunion was not only about females standing together, Spice Diana expressed her love for Sheebah as her mentor. She also blamed the media for painting a negative image of their relationship.

The release party guest of honour was the Buganda Kingdom Prime Minister Charles Peter Mayiga who met with Spice prior to the party.

The EP has six songs 'Emergency' featuring Jose Chameleone, 'Siri Regular', 'Boss', 'Sankalebwa', 'Bwotyo' featuring Daddy Andre and John Blaq, and 'Toli Weka'. The STARGAL EP appears to be more of a branding move than a musical gift for fans.

The EP sounds like audio decor for the star-studded main event which happened at the shores of Victoria in Munyonyo. 'Sankalebwa' and 'Bwotyo' retain the soul of the Spice sound that has garnered her hit songs and fan love.

Although it leaves much to be desired musically, it is a step in the direction of giving music new venues away from concerts and festivals. As witnessed at Spice's launch, these intimate parties offer a platform for artists to get closer to one another.

Spice Diana has polished her brand as an artist and ambassador with the classy atmosphere of the release party.

Other notable appearances who graced the launch include Juliana Kanyomozi, music veterans Halima Namakula, Annet Nandujja and Irene Namatovu.
