Levixone has been busy with performances in Dubai and Zambia. He recently released a song titled "Enjoy Yo Blessing" and collaborated with young rapper Ring Ratata on "Otyamu".
Three years ago, the gospel singer had declared that he would leave a mark by being the first musician to hold a concert at the Namboole stadium. Unfortunately, the COVID19 pandemic put a pause on that ambition.
This was after his successful "Turn the Replay" concert in 2018 at the Cricket oval, which was one of the biggest concerts held by a gospel artist.
Although the country has resumed normal activity and operation, the stadium is under serious renovation which will go on for a period of six months. In the meantime the artist has decided to have his concert at Kololo Airstrip, and in comparison with a full stadium, the ceremonial grounds are expected to overflow.
Levixone, real names Sam Lucas Lubyogo, has had a successful career run over the years. With hit songs like "Turn the replay" "Chikibombe" and "Mbeera" the singer has displayed determination to take gospel music to greater heights.
His journey is a real "rags to riches" experience from a slum in Kosovo, which his album "Kosovo boy" is named after, to scooping awards for his musical talent. The singer has been affiliated with fellow gospel artist Exodus, real names George Lubega Timothy, with whom they share a love for gospel music. They have collaborated on songs like "Give Me Love" and "Brekete".
Fenon events, which just collaborated with Guinness for the "Black Shines Brightest" show, are in charge of the stage set up, lights and sound.
Other artists slated for concerts this year include: Fik Fameica and Eddy Kenzo.
