In a video, Mr. Lee said they are fans of the 'Kibaluma' singer.
Concerned Mr Lee says B2C would have loved to attend Juliana's show
Born 2 Conquer (B2C) group member Mr. Lee said they (B2C) would have loved to see Juliana Kanyomozi perform if their concerts were not being held on the same day.
"For starters, we are Juliana Kanyomozi's fans but we won't be able to attend the show and we would have wanted to. But we won't be able to," he said.
Mr. Lee sings alongside Bobby Lash and Delivad Julio in the group.
The trio is set to hold a concert on August 19 at Freedom City in Kampala, but it will be a major showdown that day, as Kanyomozi decided to fix hers on the same day, a few meters away from their venue at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
Asked what the group felt about what the 'Twalina Omukwano' did, Mr. Lee showed optimism, saying that sometimes bad moments are a gateway to great times.
"First of all, in every bad situation, there is an opportunity... it's not good... if we are all Ugandans and have planned shows... we are targeting the same audience... it would be good if we picked different days," he said.
However, he also acknowledged the fact that lots of artistes were looking forward to holding shows, considering the downtime occasioned by the two-year Covid-19 lockdown.
"Covid hit the music industry had because of the lockdowns, so when things normalised [artistes were looking forward to reinvigorating their careers and fans wanted great shows]... but we can't blame anyone," he said.
Now also known as Kampala Boys, the crooners were united by their dancing skills at a young age and it's in 2015 they launched into the commercial side of music, churning out well-received club bangers and scintillating songs like 'Mundaawo', 'Kiss You', 'Gutamiiza', 'Nyongera', and 'Gwe Weka' among others.
A number of people using different platforms have weighed in on the B2C-Kanyomozi concert scheduling with divergent opinions.
Those opposed to Kanyomozi's move say she's not giving young talent a chance to showcase their talent, while those who support her say their fanbase is different.
Besides, someone else could have fixed a concert by, say, bringing an international act as we've seen in the past months.
