Due to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) Aamito could not say much about the movie, however, the model can't hide her excitement.

It’s been a long time since you guys saw me struggling to make an impact, and I’m grateful you’ve been with me all along. But I’m very excited at this step, and can’t wait for more,” she said.

Three Thousand Years of Longing is a fantasy romance, is based on the short story The Djinn in the Nightingale’s Eye by A. S. Byatt. Oscar-winning director George Miller (Mad Max: Fury Road) is behind the movie and describes it as the complete opposite of his usual genres.

When I say it’s the anti-Mad Max, I mean it only in the sense that it’s got way more dialogue than the very laconic Fury Road,” Miller said in an interview.

Its scale is smaller, at least in terms of its physical scale, even though, yes, it is set over 3,000 years. But also, Fury Road was a story that essentially happened over three days and two nights, and this happened over 3,000 years, so that’s what I meant by the anti-Mad Max.”

Aamito plays a character called Queen Sheba, and until the movie hits the screens that is all the information available. Tilda plays Dr. Alithea, and academic who prides on her rationale.

Her well put together mind starts unraveling when she meets a Djinn (Idris Elba) who offers her three wishes in exchange for his freedom. After her rational mind is satisfied by the information the Djinn presents, she makes a wish that surprises both herself and the Djinn.

The film has been in the making for a while but was interrupted by the pandemic. The trailer is out now, ahead of the premiere.

Aamito is Uganda's most accomplished model after winning Africa's Next Model in 2013. She started pursuing a career in modelling at age 16. She worked with Gloria Wavamunno and designer Adele Dejak before her breakthrough on the international scene.

As winner of AFNM, she received modelling contracts such as the South African tourism contract, endorsement deals and a cash prize of 50,000USD.

She has worked with famous brands like Lacoste, Balenciaga, Marie Curie, Harper Bazaar, Elle, Victoria Secret and Marc Jacobs, in famous fashion hubs: Paris, New York.

The NDAs must have been about 10 pages long. That’s why I was avoiding you guys, I couldn’t risk saying something about the film by mistake," she said.
