The movie tells the story of two youths, Otti and Aguti, who were friends during the hard times of Northern Uganda Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) situations. The two later fall in love and have to live through the difficult war times.

At the age of 11, the two are separated after Otti’s abduction. While in abduction, Otti attempts to escape back home and is instead caught and battered at each attempt.

Otti decides to stay in the bush with the LRA rebels where he is later introduced into the inner command gang of the notorious LRA rebel leader Joseph Kony.

His love for Aguti never declined and in order to keep it up, Otti wrote multiple letters to Aguti through the village reverend.

When the LRA rebels raid Aboke Girls School, Aguti and other girls are abducted and upon reaching the Kony camp, the abductees are shown to rebel leader Kony who falls in love with Aguti instantly without knowledge of the relationship between her and Otti. ‘Order from Above’ is a dramatic movie based on actual happenings.
