According to a press release, the streamer provided a sneak peak about what this new movie will be about.
The plot for Samaritan comes to life through the eyes of thirteen-year-old Sam Cleary played by Javon "Wanna" Walton.
Sam gets suspicious that his homebody neighbour Mr. Smith (Stallone) could be more than he lets on about himself.
Smith, thought to have died 20 years previously following the events of a warehouse battle, confirms Sam’s suspicions.
He is in fact not what or who he seems to be and is in fact, an infamous vigilante known as Samaritan.
Sam, realising this, tries to convince Samaritan to come out of hiding and use his superpowers to reduce the city’s soaring crime rate.
Demolition Man
The last time Stallone took on a role as superhero-ish as this one was when he starred in the 1993 science fiction action film, Demoiltion Man.
In it, he was joined by Wesley Snipes and Sandra Bullock.
Stallone starred as John Spartan, a police officer with a reputation for doing things his way to bring justice to the city. This of course means that he caused a lot of destruction and mayhem.
Snipes played the evil crime lord Simon Pheonix who Stallone has to capture before he reduces the city to complete chaos.
