The trailer for the movie is coming out later today, Mark Wahlberg announced on his socials.

Me Time Plot

"With his family away, a devoted stay-at-home dad enjoys his first me time in years by joining his hard-partying old friend on a wild birthday adventure."

Taking this two-line plot summary into a larger narrative, the movie is a humourous take on what happens when a family man who has been housebroken for far too long tries to rise above his uneventful existence by shaking things up in his life.

He thus calls a friend to help, this friend is his exact opposite of who he is and seems to know has no limits when it comes to having a good time.

It’s the classic straight man and zany buddy dynamic with the strait-laced dad being thrown into a wild world of parties, with all its comedic possibilities.

The Me Time director is John Hamburg. Hamburg has a resume that contains both television and film.
