Actress Mariam Ndagire and Ayeny T. Steve nominated in the AMVCAs [Full List]

The AMVCAs are returning for the 8th edition

This year’s edition of the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA) nominees have been announced and the list features some of Uganda's finest entertainers.

The list was announced during a live broadcasted event hosted by Nollywood actors Daniel Etim-Effiong and Adesua Etomi-Wellington.

The highlight of the event is that veteran and top Ugandan actress and film makers Mariam Ndagire and Ayeny T. Steve are part of this year’s nominees for Best Movie East Africa Award.

AMVCA is an annual accolade presented by Multi-Choice in recognition of outstanding achievements in television and film.

The annual event was first held in Lagos, in Nigeria on March 9, 2013 and was broadcasted live in more than 50 countries.

For one to make it to the nominees, they must have films and a TV series that have been aired from the previous year.

Below is the full list of this year’s nominees of the viewers' choice awards.
